Charlamagne Tha God is a notable television personality, author, and radio presenter. He is the co-host of the hip-hop iHeartRadio program “The Breakfast Club,” along with being the co-host of the popular podcast called “Brilliant Idiots,” and a television personality for Viacom listed on his website. The personality is a social media influencer and producer of his own company “CThaGod World LLC.”


Charlamagne Tha God was born and raised in South Carolina and quickly rose to be one of the most unique and talented radio personalities. Tha God’s thinking and compelling interviews are what drives issues related to hip-hop, race, society, and politics. His talents have also spread into the publishing world as he has two books under his belt called “Black Privilege, Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It” and “Shook One.”


An article by The Undefeated gives a recap of an interview with Charlamagne Tha God on his novel “Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks on Me.” The radio personality sat down with Bill Rhoden as the article goes into depth with his struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety and choosing to do therapy. The title of the book is actually of a Mobb Deep song called “Shook Ones.” Charlamagne talks in the interview about doing a lot of things fearlessly, but doing it because he was scared out of being attacked and racism.


The other half of the title highlights his anxiety and on a song by the Geto Boy’s called “Mind Playing Tricks On Me.” One of the chapters in the book he titled “Blackanoid” – a term that he invented himself to represent being paranoid as an African American in America.
