The Kurt Cobain Death Conspiracy
The band Nirvana was at the height of their popularity when the lead singer’s apparent suicide sparked many people to believe that there was a Kurt Cobain death conspiracy. The official story of the death of Kurt Cobain is that he was under the influence of drugs and killed himself with a shotgun. This is supported by the discovery of a suicide note that was near the body as well as wounds that were found on both of his arms. However, not all of the fans of the grunge rock superstar were so quick to rule out homicide. In particular, a private investigator named Tom Grant was vocal about his belief that the Kurt Cobain death was actually a murder.Tom Grant was hired by Cobain’s wife, Courtney Love, to find him after he left a drug rehabilitation facility. There are a few aspects that Grant has stated lead him to believe that the death was homicide. The first is a credit card issue. Instead of using credit card activity to track Cobain down after he left rehab, Courtney Love wanted to cancel all of the singer’s credit cards. Further investigation showed that someone did attempt to use one of his credit cards after the time of death. Grant also believes that the amount of heroin found in Cobain’s body would have left him powerless to commit suicide.
There is also a problem with the suicide note that was found at the time of the death of Kurt Cobain. Grant believes that the note is not a suicide note, but rather a note that stated Cobain was planning on leaving Courtney Love and get out of the music business. The evidence he presents is that the last lines appear to be added later and are the only ones that are suicidal. Whether the Kurt Cobain death was a homicide or suicide is uncertain, but the truth is that fans of the grunge rock band Nirvana have lost a treasured icon.
