Kurt Cobain Biography

Kurt Cobain was one of the best loved songwriters and musicians of his time and became a legend as the lead singer in the popular band Nirvana. The Biography of Kurt Cobain would not be complete without noting the fact that he was the leader of Nirvana but the group also incorporated the lesser known Krist Novoselic and in the year 1989 the group burst onto the music scene with their debut album entitled Bleach. The album was released on Sub Pop which is a Seattle independent record label. His family had a musical background as his uncle was a star in the band The Beachcombers and his aunt also played for a band of her own. He began taking an interest in many types of music early on in his life and he became a piano player at the age of 4. In later years Cobain used his defiance and musical abilities to form a band and a bond with music that would skyrocket him to fame. Cobain would go on to struggle with heroin and have a hard time coping with the fame he had. He eventually went on to kill himself with a shotgun to the head.
