Joe Arpaio was the person behind the controversy of the birth certificate of the former president Barack Obama. He was joined by Donald Trump to claim that Obama was not born in the country.

The two seem to have working chemistry since Joe Arpaio campaigned for him aggressively during the last presidential elections. After he won the seat, he rewarded Arpaio with a pardon for a case on his conduct as the Sheriff.
