The Early Music Career Of Cassio Audi
Fans of heavy metal music remember Cassio Audi as being the talented drummer for the Brazilian band called Viper back in the 1980s. Just like all the others in the group, he became a member of the band when he was just a teenager. During his time with Viper, which was between 1985 and 1989, the group achieved success with their first album by the name of Soldiers Of Sunrise.
Although the group had just gained a great deal of popularity at that time, Cassio Audi made the decision to leave it shortly afterwards so he could pursue a career in the business world. He ended up becoming an expert in the investment field after graduating from Pontifical Catholic University and Sao Paulo University. His employment record includes being the CFO of a real estate company and working in an executive position at JP Morgan.
The inspiration for Cassio Audi and the other former members of Viper starting the band so many decades ago was a British heavy metal band called Iron Maiden, and other bands of that sort from the 1970s and 1980s. Viper’s other members include: Andre Matos; Pit Passarell; Renato Graccia; Felipe Machad; and Yves Passarell. There were also others that joined the band over the years as replacements. All of the original members hailed from Sao Paulo, and each year they all get together and give their fans a concert in their home country.
Despite the fact that Cassio Audi left the group so suddenly in its early days and during its most successful period, he will still always be known as Viper’s first drummer, and one of Brazil’s innovators of the heavy metal music genre. He and the other Viper band members have still managed to remain good friends even after so many years have passed.
